“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.”– Mahatma Ghandi

While much of Kai Braden’s athletic career includes thirteen years practicing Taekwondo with a 2nd degree blackbelt, he has focused his present training in CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting. Kai discovered the CrossFit world by researching how to best train for a mud run obstacle course. He needed something that would help prepare him for the unexpected– crawling through mud under barbed wire, jumping over walls, running long distances, and lifting heavy odd-shaped objects. He conquered that obstacle course and since that day, he has learned how CrossFit improves many aspects of his personal and professional life. It is his form of therapy from life’s craziness, it has made him physically fitter and therefore made him feel psychologically happier, and has even helped him book more jobs as a model!

Serving his athletes as a coach at Brooklyn CrossFit is extremely fulfilling. He gets to help people become stronger, faster, and healthier. Whether the goal is general health & fitness or competitive & professional level training, Kai adapts to the needs of his athletes to best guide them– Ike Taylor (NFL off season), DJ Vice (Nike trail runs), and Zac Efron (Baywatch, The Greatest Showman) to name a few.
